I have been thinking of the appropriate excuse to give for why I abandoned my blog for soooooo long, now I’ve been thinking about this excuse since the first of January and one and a half months later with no mind altering excuse to give I am left with telling the truth. They say the truth shall always set you free so here it is: LAZINESS!!!! Pure and Simple; well that and the fact that my camera was out of commission, I broke my other laptop in december (don’t ask how) and well too little hours in the day. Yes I threw in some other excuses, Sue Me.

I find that I’m having a hard time actually putting up a post because I keep doing other things so for today let’s have a little catch up session shall we:

-Well for Starters I was in Nigeria for Christmas; lets just say we had a Cool Fun Times  and leave it at that

-There’s a new addition to my family, she’s the cutest thing especially her cheeks. Seems like there’s a competition going on with the wives in my family, they are ALL pregnant now, I mean ALL of them.  I have called each and everyone of them and preached about Condoms and Family planning and they all keep laughing but I’m dead serious.

Meet Dere:

-I’ve decided to take my behind back to school and get my Master’s over with Ugh!! I really dislike school

- My baby Pinky (refer back to previous posts for a picture of her) graduated *YIPPIE!!!!!* and decided to go back to Nigeria. I mean who the hell does that *rhetorical question* So rebtel has found a new loyal customer in me now , the way we talk on the phone you would think she’s still in hick town North Carolina.

-Went to my first ever NBA basketball game, Miami Heats vs Washington Wizards. Let me first say that I don’t very well care for basketball, then you throw in the wizards and my attention span drops to -2. The Heats won (no surprise there, and I gave myself a pat on the back for refraining from pulling out my novel to read midway thru the game.)

It was interesting though, and I got to cross something off my bucketlist.

Everyone knows I am a big FAN of Music, I mean Its Music whats not to like about it. Lately there have been a fusion of different genres of music that seem to be absolutely working. Well here’s another 1 people ( especially for Nigerians): Techno/House Music + Nigerian Music = DOPENESS!!! Well the DMV based group HouZe Boys are making this a reality. I will let you be a judge of their work, but I say they are going places * I’m jamming to Harry Potter in my work cubicle at this moment*

Birthday Shindig

We all know I turned 23 on the 8th of October. This year though I wanted to do something that I would love but that didn’t involve climbing the chairs and getting drunk at 1 club or another. My baby pinky planted this little seed in my head of a mini dinner party at my house, and once that seed was planted the ideas just kept growing and growing.

With the help of my ladies and Mother I was able to put together a great party (if I do say so myself).  Without these ladies I couldn’t have pulled this off, we banded together and made this a success even with my various meltdowns: Sayo (drove 10 hrs from ATL), Pinky (5 hrs from NC), Eyitemi (my lovely namesake cousin; 4hrs from VA) and Bisi ( MD, but I can’t count how many hrs she put in). Lets not forget my boys who need not be named ( just look thru my blog, their pictures are always up), and last but certainly not least Chinedum :-*
